#DCDSBROBOTICS

Event Details
Date
December 7th, 2016
Location
St Isaac Jogues CS (Gym)
Event Description
Teams will compete in sumobot tournaments in the morning
testing the engineering and design of their EV3 robots. The
afternoon will focus more on coding than building. Students
will use the iPads to co-create games using hopscotch. The
day will end off with a coding challenge. Teams will be asked
to code a robot to complete a simple challenge. The challenge
will hopefully help students understand how powerful coding
and robotics can be in solving real world problems.
Event Goals
-
Expose students to coding and promote interest in STEM
-
Promote Hour of Code (Dec 5-11)
-
Bring together like minded students and promote collaboration and leadership
-
